Omar Sherif is a writer, journalist, and photographer whose work centres people, community, and lived experience. Through reported narratives and visual storytelling, he documents human connection and cultural interactions, approaching each story with care, curiosity, and a commitment to meaningful representation.

Born in Egypt, Sherif moved to Canada at a young age, where he studied and later launched his career. His practice spans writing, photography, and multimedia journalism, grounded in a cross-disciplinary approach that blends journalistic rigor with a thoughtful, creative visual language.

Sherif has contributed to local Canadian publications including BlogTO, as well as national outlets such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the National Post.
